The Retail Jewelers Organization (RJO) Foundation has introduced a new Disaster Relief Fund, aimed at providing financial assistance to its members and vendor partners impacted by natural disasters.
Financial Aid for Jewelers and Vendors
The Disaster Relief Fund will offer immediate financial support to retail jewelers and their employees affected by disasters such as hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and tornadoes and is designed to help businesses recover and resume operations after these events, supporting members in need.
The aid will extend beyond businesses to cover the families of members, ensuring comprehensive support for those within the RJO community. This aims to provide timely assistance to reduce the impact of these crises on personal and professional lives.
Streamlined Process for Swift Assistance
The RJO Foundation has implemented a simplified application process to ensure rapid distribution of funds. The process is designed to ensure affected jewelers can access financial support quickly. Additionally, the Disaster Relief Fund is sustained through contributions from RJO members, vendors, and other industry partners.
In a statement, RJO Foundation Executive Director Sarah Streb noted, “We understand the significant impact natural disasters can have on personal and professional lives. The launch of the Disaster Relief Fund reflects our dedication to being there for our members during times of crisis.”
Industry-Wide Support and Collaboration
The RJO Foundation encourages members of the jewelry industry and supporters nationwide to contribute to the fund. The fund is supported by contributions from members and industry partners, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
Founded in 2015, the RJO Foundation serves as the philanthropic branch of the Retail Jewelers Organization, offering educational scholarships and charitable aid to its members. The addition of disaster relief services broadens the Foundation’s range of support for its members.
