The Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) has introduced a new guide to help jewelry businesses comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Designed specifically for the needs of the jewelry trade, the resource outlines steps to ensure accessibility for all customers, whether in-store or online.
The guide, funded through a grant from the JCK Industry Fund, is available for free on JVC’s website.
Focus on Accessibility for Jewelers
The ADA Compliance Guide provides an overview of ADA requirements and practical strategies for compliance. Key topics include:
- Physical Accessibility: Guidance on creating barrier-free spaces in jewelry stores.
- Website Accessibility: Best practices to ensure online platforms meet accessibility standards.
- Customer Accommodation: Strategies for creating inclusive shopping experiences.
