Jewelers of America (JA) has unveiled the winners of its 34th annual CASE Awards thes annual competition dedicated to highlighting creativity and quality in jewelry design.
With over 120 entries across eight distinct categories, the categories were divided between JA retail members and JA supplier members, with awards segmented by retail value: Jewelry up to $2,000, $2,001 to $5,000, $5,001 to $10,000, and $10,001 to $50,000.
Judging Criteria and Panel
JAA’s panel of design experts evaluated the entries based on overall design, marketability, originality, and quality of manufacture. The judging panel comprised industry experts, including Brecken Branstrator of GemGuide, writer Tanya Dukes, Natalie Francisco from National Jeweler, Amanda Gizzi of Jewelers of America, Adrianne Sanogo from Black in Jewelry Coalition and a GIA Graduate Gemologist, Amina Sorel from Amina Sorel Fine Jewelry, and Alysa Teichman of Ylang 23 and Wildlike.
Recognition and Industry Impact
The CASE Awards serve as a platform for Jewelers of America members, offering them national and local media exposure. As Amanda Gizzi, spokesperson for Jewelers of America, stated, “Jewelers of America’s CASE Awards design competition showcases the innovative designs and exceptional talents of Jewelers of America members across the country. We are proud to celebrate their remarkable achievements and the brilliance they bring to the world of fine jewelry.”
Each category’s first-place winner received a customized CASE Award trophy. Additionally, one entry was distinguished as Best in Show, an honor that underscores talent within the field.
