Jewelers for Children (JFC) has announced that Saturday, September 21, 2024, will mark this year’s celebration of JFC Day – a day dedicated to uniting the jewelry industry in support of children facing severe challenges, including life-threatening illnesses, abuse, and neglect.
The event encourages participation from all sectors of the industry, including suppliers, retailers, and consumers, to raise awareness and funds for a variety of worthwhile children’s charities.
Nationwide Retailer Support
JFC Day has gained increasing support from retailers across the United States, many of whom organise in-store promotions to highlight the industry’s contributions to charitable causes. The event is designed to celebrate and expand the industry’s efforts to aid children through JFC’s charity partners, which include notable organisations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish America, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
Retailers are encouraged to engage their customer base by informing them about JFC and hosting activities on the day of the event. JFC encourages suppliers and retailers to use coordinated promotions and social media campaigns to increase awareness of the event.
Open Participation and Promotional Materials
JFC has outlined that anyone within the industry can participate in the event. Suppliers are urged to reach out to their retail customers, while retailers are encouraged to organise promotional activities in-store and online to support the cause. To help streamline participation, JFC offers a detailed participation guide, including digital marketing materials such as logos, social media posts, and press release templates. Custom materials can also be created upon request.
The goal is to raise awareness on social media and in stores, promoting the jewelry industry’s support for children through JFC’s charity partners.
