We are thrilled to be able to offer the exam on-site at The Robert Mouawad Campus at GIA’s World Headquarters.”
Certification Program Overview
Started in 1997, the JA Bench Professional Certification program sets national standards for bench jewelers, assessing their talents and proficiency across three levels. The upcoming exam at GIA will be for the Certified Beginner Bench Jeweler, reflecting the skills expected of a trained entry-level professional.
Benefits of On-Site Examination
Taking the exam at GIA’s facilities offers several advantages:
- Special pricing
- No need for an external proctor
- Access to dedicated workstations at GIA’s facilities
- Completion of the exam within two days
These benefits are designed to support beginning bench jewelers in their certification process.
Preparatory Workshop
Prior to the exam, the GIA Alumni Collective will conduct a three-day preparatory workshop from August 5-7, 2024. This session aims to improve participants’ efficiency at the bench and reinforce fundamental jewelry-making skills pertinent to the exam. Under the guidance of a GIA instructor, attendees will receive detailed information on the exam content and enhance their skills.
