Columbia Gem House has announced the successful completion of its “Pebbles to Pines” fundraiser, raising $10,000 to support the National Forest Foundation’s (NFF) Reforestation Program.
This initiative aims to restore critical areas in Oregon, Arizona, Montana, and other regions across the United States, reflecting the gemstone wholesaler’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
The fundraiser, conducted through a raffle, raised $7,750 from ticket sales. Columbia Gem House contributed an additional $2,250 to reach its $10,000 goal, funding the planting of 10,000 trees.
Collaboration with MJSA
The Pebbles to Pines campaign was held in conjunction with the MJSA Responsibly Sourced Design Challenge, an annual competition where designers create custom jewelry based on fictional narratives. This year, nine designers participated, contributing pieces featuring gemstones sourced from Oregon, Arizona, and Montana—states also targeted for reforestation.
“While we are thrilled to have raised $7,750, our original goal of planting 10,000 trees requires a total of $10,000. To ensure we reached that target and continue supporting the work of the National Forest Foundation, Columbia Gem House has decided to contribute an additional $2,250,” said Natasha Braunwart, the company’s Brand and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager. “This means that, together, we are fully funding the planting of 10,000 trees in critical areas across Oregon, Arizona, Montana, and beyond.”
