The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) has announced the extension of its flagship event, the AGTA GemFair Tucson, by an extra day in 2025.
This decision comes in response to increasing attendance and exhibitor participation, aiming to better serve the needs of both buyers and sellers. The event will now run from Monday, February 3, to Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Tucson Convention Center (TCC).
New Schedule and Logistics
The updated show hours are as follows:
- Monday, Feb. 3 – Friday, Feb. 7: 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Grand Ballroom opens at 9:30 a.m.; GemHall floor and Galleria at 10 a.m.)
- Saturday, Feb. 8: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 9: 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Previously, the show concluded at 4 p.m. on Sunday, but the extended hours aim to maximize the sales window for exhibitors.

I’m an exhibitor myself, so I understand that lengthening the show may seem to be a daunting choice. In the end we are all there to sell. So, besides extended robust sales, we can all look forward to a 2 p.m. close on Sunday to watch the Super Bowl!”
Event Highlights and Activities
The event will feature a kickoff party on Tuesday, February 4, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the TCC. Additionally, seminars will be held from Wednesday to Friday in the newly renovated meeting rooms at the TCC. One of the key highlights is the AGTA Spectrum & Cutting Edge Awards Gala, scheduled for Saturday evening, February 8, at the TCC.
Registration and Accommodation
Registration for the 2025 AGTA GemFair Tucson will open in August 2024. Registered buyers will receive a link to secure hotel accommodations upon registration, ensuring convenient planning for attendees.
