Stuller held its 2025 Bench Jeweler Workshop at its headquarters in Lafayette, Louisiana, drawing bench jewelers and industry professionals from across the United States. The multi-day event focused on skills development, product knowledge, and peer engagement through structured workshops and demonstrations.
The program included sessions on stone setting, laser welding, and CAD/CAM technology. Participants received hands-on instruction in current bench techniques, with sessions led by industry professionals.
“This event is all about supporting jewelers in growing their skills and businesses,” said Jacob Dupuis, Stuller’s senior director of sales. “It’s great to see so many professionals come together, learn from each other, and make valuable connections.”
Industry-Focused Competitions
A highlight of the workshop was the Battle of the Benches competition, which tested jewellers’ expertise across various disciplines. The winners were:
- Ring Repair: Christian Schneider
- CAD Design: Joseph Khalil
- Parts & Pieces: Alan Harper and Carlos Rodriguez (tie)
Student competitors were also recognised in categories reflecting essential bench skills:
- Stone Setting: Nathan Bradley
- Sizing: Sebastian Padilla
