The Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) in New York City, in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India, will host the next installment of its ever-popular ‘India Week’ event from August 19-22, focusing on Indian diamond and gemstone suppliers. The event aims to foster international trade relations between Indian suppliers and US-based diamond dealers.
Event Details
The “Taste of India” event at the Diamond Dealers Club will feature 15-20 suppliers from India, specialising in diamonds, lab-grown gems, and coloured gemstones. Additionally, over 30 US-based DDC diamond dealers will participate. The event promises an open trading environment with no mandatory purchase requirements.
Security will be stringent, and US coordinators for GJEPC will be present to assist visitors upon entry. Interested participants are advised to register in advance to receive further instructions and confirmation of attendance.
Michael Lebowitz of MHL Trading expressed his anticipation, stating, “I’m looking forward to and excited to see more at this year’s Taste of India week.”
Upcoming GJEPC Events in India
Following the New York event, GJEPC will host an expense-paid “Buyer Seller Meet” in Mumbai from September 30 to October 1. This event will offer participants the chance to meet leading Indian diamantaires and visit the Bharat Diamond Bourse. An optional follow-up event will take place in Jaipur from October 3-4, focusing on coloured gems and jewelry.
There is no obligation to buy at these events, but space is limited. Interested jewellers are encouraged to reserve their spots promptly.
Future Shows
GJEPC has also opened registration for its upcoming shows in April 2025, which will be held in Jaipur, Mumbai, and Surat. Early registration is recommended to secure participation.
