What is Shane Co.’s warranty policy?

Shane Co. offers a free lifetime warranty on their jewelry, a unique feature that sets them apart from other jewelers. This comprehensive warranty covers all aspects of your jewelry, including the center stone, providing a level of protection and peace of mind that is unmatched in the industry. The warranty is free for life and includes free maintenance and repair work, resizing, cleaning and polishing, inspections, and lost stone replacement. Additionally, if a Shane Co. product is passed along within a family, the warranty continues to apply under the standard guidelines.

What’s covered by Shane Co.’s warranty?

Shane Co.’s warranty is designed to ensure your jewelry remains in excellent condition. Here’s what it covers:

Firstly, it includes any necessary repairs to maintain the integrity of your jewelry, ensuring that your pieces stay in perfect condition. The warranty also provides for free resizing, which means you can adjust your ring to fit perfectly at no extra cost. Regular cleaning to keep your jewelry sparkling is part of the package, along with professional inspections to catch any potential issues early on. Lastly, it offers free lost stone replacement, including the center stones, giving you complete peace of mind.

This extensive coverage applies to all jewelry made entirely of gold, platinum, or silver, including those with natural or lab-grown diamonds, rubies, sapphires, semi-precious gemstones, and cultured pearls. Wedding bands made of cobalt, titanium, zirconium, meteorite, and Damascus steel are also covered.

What isn’t covered by Shane Co.’s warranty?

While Shane Co.’s warranty is extensive, there are some exclusions to be aware of. In the unfortunate event that your jewelry is lost or stolen, you can purchase replacement jewelry at a discount if you provide a police report. Shane Co. recommends insuring your jewelry against theft and total loss for additional protection.

Damage from abnormal use, such as dropping it down a garbage disposal or running it over with a car, is not covered. Jewelry should be worn for normal activities to remain under warranty. Additionally, items made of non-precious materials or metals like leather, rubber, stainless steel, carbon fiber, and tungsten are not covered, as they cannot be reworked to look like new. Rings made with metals that can’t be resized, such as cobalt, titanium, zirconium, meteorite, and Damascus steel, are excluded from resizing services.

Any repairs or alterations done by someone other than a Shane Co. jeweler will void the warranty. Lastly, jewelry purchased by a third party is not covered; only original purchasers are eligible for the warranty benefits.

Other things you should know about Shane Co.’s warranty policy

To keep your lifetime warranty active, you should have your jewelry cleaned and checked approximately every six months. This service is free and can be done in-store or by shipping your item to their service center. If you choose to mail your jewelry for servicing, Shane Co. covers the return shipping costs. It’s important to retain your proof of purchase and any certificates of authenticity, as these may be required for warranty claims.

The free clean and check service is available every day the store is open, with the fastest service offered from Monday to Thursday. Jewelry is cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner, steamer, and polishing cloth, followed by a professional inspection. This ensures your jewelry remains in excellent condition and any potential issues are addressed promptly.
