What is Pandora’s warranty policy?
Pandora offers a warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship. For most jewelry items, this warranty lasts one year from the date of purchase. However, Pandora Lab-Grown Diamond items are covered for two years. If you live in California and your item is shipped to you after purchase, the warranty period begins from the date of delivery, rather than the purchase date.
If your item has a defect, Pandora doesn’t provide repairs; instead, they will replace the item with the same product if it’s available. If the exact item isn’t in stock, they’ll offer a similar product of equal or lesser value, or provide a refund.
What’s covered by Pandora’s warranty?
Pandora’s warranty is meant to cover any defects in the materials or workmanship of their jewelry under normal use. The standard jewelry warranty is one year, while Lab-Grown Diamond items are protected for two years. Lab-Grown Diamonds also come with a guarantee that the stones will meet or exceed the advertised quality grades, such as cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, for stones that are 0.50 carats or larger. If the diamond doesn’t meet these standards, Pandora will replace it with one that does.
What isn’t covered by Pandora’s warranty?
There are several exclusions to be aware of when considering Pandora’s warranty:
The warranty does not cover lost or stolen items, so if your jewelry goes missing, Pandora will not replace it. Normal wear and tear, such as tarnishing or the stretching of chains and bracelets, is not included in the warranty coverage. This is because these are natural effects that occur over time, especially with frequent use.
Damage caused by accidents or improper care, such as exposure to harsh chemicals or environments like pools or hot tubs, is also not covered. Additionally, using non-Pandora charms or accessories with your Pandora jewelry can cause damage that voids the warranty. Finally, if you purchase items from unauthorized sellers, Pandora’s warranty will not apply because they cannot verify the authenticity or quality of these products.
Other things you should know about Pandora’s warranty policy
You will need the original sales receipt to make a warranty claim, even if the item was given to you as a gift. If you don’t have the receipt, Pandora will not be able to process your claim. If your item is defective and needs to be returned, you must do so by mail; in-store returns and exchanges are not possible for damaged items. However, if your item is unused and still in its original condition, you can exchange it at a Pandora store within 30 days of purchase.
When an item is replaced under the warranty, the new product will either have the remaining warranty period of the original item or a 90-day warranty, whichever is longer. Pandora’s policy does not specify who covers the cost of return shipping for warranty claims, so you may need to cover this expense yourself.
