Grown Brilliance returns process

To return an item to Grown Brilliance, you’ll follow a straightforward process. First, you need to initiate your return by requesting a Return Authorization Number. This is essential for your return to be processed. You can do this through your online account, using the order lookup tool if you purchased as a guest, or by contacting their customer service directly. Once your return is approved, Grown Brilliance will send you a FedEx shipping label via email. It’s important to note that the Return Authorization Number is valid for only seven days from the time it’s issued, so make sure to ship your item promptly.

Next, prepare your return by ensuring that the item is in its original, unworn condition. Be sure to include all original documentation, such as diamond certificates. Place the jewelry in its original box, then secure it inside a larger shipping box—Grown Brilliance suggests reusing the original shipping box if possible. Don’t forget to insert your return packing slip inside the box, seal the package securely, and affix the prepaid label. For security reasons, it’s advised not to write words like jewelry or diamonds on the package.

If you’re missing the diamond certificate, a $100 fee will be deducted from your refund.

After packaging, take the box to a staffed FedEx location, rather than using a drop box. Retain the receipt as proof of shipment, as it also serves as insurance for your package. If you decide to use a different shipping method, you will be responsible for the shipping costs, and Grown Brilliance won’t be liable for items lost or damaged in transit.

How long does it take for a Grown Brilliance return to be processed?

Once Grown Brilliance receives your return, their Quality Assurance team will inspect the item. This inspection can take up to seven business days. If everything checks out, they’ll process your refund. For credit card refunds, you should see the credit on your account within one billing cycle.

Grown Brilliance refund methods

Refunds for returned items are issued to your original payment method. For credit card payments, the refund will be processed back to the same card. If you made your payment using bank wire, cash, or other special methods, refunds will be issued by check. If your purchase involved multiple payment methods, the refund will be divided accordingly across those methods.

For special orders, including Truly Custom designs, refunds are issued as store credit only. This store credit can be used for future purchases, including re-designing a custom piece. However, once you use the store credit for a re-design, the new piece will be considered final sale and non-returnable.

Returning damaged items to Grown Brilliance

If you receive a damaged or defective item, Grown Brilliance allows you to return it as long as you follow their standard return process. However, it’s important to note that returned items showing any signs of wear or damage that occurred after you received them will not be accepted.

Which items can’t be returned to Grown Brilliance?

Grown Brilliance has a few restrictions on returns. Items that have been modified, engraved, or resized by a jeweler other than Grown Brilliance cannot be returned. Additionally, custom orders and special orders, like Truly Custom designs, are only eligible for store credit, not a full refund.

Other things you should know about Grown Brilliance’s returns policy

Here are a few other important details to keep in mind. Currently, Grown Brilliance does not provide a specific online portal for tracking the status of your return once it’s been shipped back. However, you can use FedEx tracking and your shipment receipt to monitor the process.

If you’re outside the United States, the return process may be different. You may not be eligible for the free return shipping that U.S. customers enjoy, so it’s important to check Grown Brilliance’s specific policies for international returns.

While return shipping is free for U.S. customers using the provided FedEx label, if you decide to use another carrier or method, you will be responsible for those costs. Additionally, if you purchased an item as part of a promotion, be aware that returning it could affect the discount. For example, if your return drops your order total below the threshold required for a promotion, the value of the promotion might be deducted from your refund.

Grown Brilliance reserves the right to limit returns for customers they consider to be abusing the return policy, which may include terminating accounts. This is common among retailers to prevent fraud and excessive returns.

Finally, it’s crucial to follow the return process closely. Packages that arrive without a Return Shipping Authorization Number or those that were refused for delivery will not be accepted for a refund. Be sure to include all original paperwork with your return, as missing documentation can lead to delays or additional fees.

Overall, Grown Brilliance’s return policy is very good compared to comparable retailers. To find out more about their Grown Brilliance’s returns policy click here, or get in touch with the Grown Brilliance Customer Service if you have any questions.
