Zales Credit Card Financing
Zales offers several financing options through its credit card, issued by Comenity Capital Bank. Here’s a breakdown of the key plans available:
The Deferred Interest, Payment Required Plan allows you to delay interest on your purchase if you pay the balance in full within the promotional period. However, if you don’t pay it off completely by the end of this period, interest will be charged from the purchase date. It’s important to note that minimum payments alone may not cover the entire balance, potentially resulting in a high interest charge if not fully paid off.
With the Low APR, Equal Payment Plan, you can enjoy a reduced interest rate during the promotional period. You’ll make equal monthly payments over the term, but if any balance remains after this period, the standard purchase APR, currently 35.99%, will apply.
If you’re not using a promotional plan, the Standard APR Plan is applied to all purchases, with an APR of 35.99%. Given the high rate, it’s advisable to clear your balance as quickly as possible to avoid significant interest charges.
There are some additional costs to be aware of with the Zales Credit Card. A minimum interest charge of $3 applies if any interest is due, and a 2% fee is charged on promotional plan purchases. If you choose to receive paper billing statements instead of going paperless, you’ll also incur a $2.99 monthly fee.
Frequent shoppers might consider joining the Vault Rewards program. This membership offers perks like free express shipping on certain items, birthday discounts, and an annual reward. However, be sure to read the fine print as there are many exclusions and limitations to these benefits.
Using Affirm for Financing
Zales partners with Affirm to provide flexible financing options without hidden fees. You can choose from several payment plans, including four interest-free payments or monthly installments over 3 to 12 months, with an APR that ranges from 0% to 36% depending on your eligibility.
The application process for Affirm does not impact your credit score, and you’ll know the total cost upfront, with no surprises. For in-store purchases, you’ll need to download the Affirm app, apply for a virtual card, and present it at checkout. Online, you can simply select Affirm as your payment method at checkout and choose your preferred plan.
Zales Payment Options
Zales offers several convenient payment methods both online and in-store, including most major credit and debit cards, the Zales Credit Card, Affirm financing, and Progressive Leasing.
If you opt for Progressive Leasing, this program allows you to lease-to-own your items over a standard 12-month term. There’s no application or processing fee, and your first payment is made using a credit or debit card at checkout. You can also purchase the item earlier using the 90-day purchase option (3 months in California), which is typically cheaper than completing the full 12-month term. Payments are deducted automatically from your bank account or charged to the card provided during the application process.
If you have questions about your lease, you can contact Progressive Leasing customer service for help. They also allow you to return leased items or cancel the lease without penalty, though any unpaid lease costs must be settled.
Other Things You Should Know About Zales Financing Options
You can track your order on the Zales website using your order number. If you’ve financed your purchase through Affirm or Progressive Leasing, any returns or issues will need to be handled through those providers. For Affirm purchases, you can return items through Zales.com or in-store, though any interest paid will not be refunded. With Progressive Leasing, you’ll need to coordinate returns directly with them, which may involve returning the item to Zales or sending it back to Progressive.
Currently, Zales does not offer international shipping. They only ship within the U.S. and its territories. Vault Rewards members can get free express shipping on some items, but this benefit doesn’t apply to APO, FPO, DPO addresses, or U.S. territories.
