What is SuperJeweler’s warranty policy?
SuperJeweler offers a Lifetime Guarantee on all fine jewelry purchases. This warranty is designed to protect against defects in the setting or loss of accent stones, including diamonds and gemstones. For rings with a center diamond or gemstone, the guarantee covers center stone replacement if lost within the first year of ownership. After the first year, only accent stones are covered under the Lifetime Guarantee.
The policy applies to both the original purchaser and the gift recipient, meaning that if you received the jewelry as a gift, you’re still entitled to make warranty claims. There are no premium or extended warranty tiers, so this standard Lifetime Guarantee applies to all jewelry purchases without additional costs.
To file a warranty claim, you’ll need to send the jewelry back to SuperJeweler using a trackable and insured shipping method, as the cost of shipping the item to them is your responsibility. Once the claim is processed, SuperJeweler will cover the return shipping cost to send the repaired or replaced item back to you.
What’s covered by SuperJeweler’s warranty?
SuperJeweler’s warranty covers several important aspects of maintaining your jewelry. Manufacturer defects, such as problems in the design or craftsmanship, are fully covered. If any accent stones, whether they are diamonds or other gemstones, fall out of the jewelry, SuperJeweler will replace them with stones of similar quality. This protection applies no matter how long you’ve owned the item.
For rings with a center stone, SuperJeweler will replace it if it’s lost during the first year of ownership. After the first year, the center stone isn’t covered, but any accent stones still are. The warranty also allows a one-time resizing of rings within the first year of purchase.
An additional benefit is that once your warranty claim has been processed, SuperJeweler covers the cost of return shipping to you, no matter where you’re located.
What isn’t covered by SuperJeweler’s warranty?
There are some exclusions in SuperJeweler’s warranty, and understanding these can help you avoid surprises. The warranty does not cover damage caused by wear and tear or mishaps, such as bent prongs or scratches from daily use. SuperJeweler can provide you with a repair estimate for these types of damages, but they’re not included in the Lifetime Guarantee.
Additionally, chipped or cracked gemstones and diamonds are not covered. If your stones become damaged in this way, SuperJeweler will offer a quote for replacing them, but the cost will be yours to cover. Similarly, if the center stone of a ring is lost after the first year of ownership, it’s no longer covered under the warranty. SuperJeweler will still provide a quote to replace it, but again, this won’t be part of the free warranty coverage.
Complete loss of a jewelry item, such as losing a ring, is not covered either. And while SuperJeweler covers the cost of shipping your repaired jewelry back to you, you’re responsible for the cost of shipping, insurance, and tracking when sending it in for a claim.
Other things you should know about SuperJeweler’s warranty policy
There are a few other details to keep in mind to make the most of SuperJeweler’s warranty. All repairs, alterations, or resizing must be done by SuperJeweler to keep your warranty valid. If you take your jewelry to another jeweler for these services, the warranty will be void.
When making a warranty claim, you’ll need proof of purchase. This can be your original order number, the name of the purchaser, or the approximate purchase date. It’s always best to send your original receipt to make the process smoother. If the jewelry was given as a gift, the warranty still applies, but claims must be made by either the original purchaser or the gift recipient.
The Lifetime Guarantee only applies to fine jewelry, so any non-jewelry items purchased from SuperJeweler are not covered. For international customers, while the processing of a warranty claim typically takes around two weeks, shipping times may be longer depending on your location. SuperJeweler covers the cost of returning the repaired item to you, even for international customers.
SuperJeweler’s warranty provides strong coverage for manufacturer defects and lost accent stones, along with the benefit of free return shipping after repairs. However, it’s important to be aware of the limitations, especially for center stone replacement after the first year and for wear and tear. If your jewelry needs repairs that aren’t covered by the warranty, SuperJeweler will still offer quotes for these services.
If you have any issues with your jewelry contact their customer service team here, and they’ll request you to send the piece back for inspection.
